A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain email mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain, you will get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you are running a business, for instance. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited bulk messages, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to get only authentic messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

If you’ve got a Linux hosting with our company and you would like to enable the catch-all feature for a particular mailbox that you have in the web hosting account, it will take literally only one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have set up under any domain hosted in the account. You can choose one single email address per domain name by clicking on the respective button. This will enable the feature straight away, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got enabled email forwarding, our system will show a warning notice and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you remove the forwarding or you can simply pick some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated service with our company and your email messages are handled by our cloud platform. All the mailboxes that you create using any domain name hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click on that icon. In the exact same way you will be able to turn off the feature, in case you do not need it any longer. Our system will let you know in case you are trying to enable a 2nd catch-all address for a particular domain name or in case there’s activated email forwarding, but it’ll never disable or alter anything automatically and without your consent.
